Texas ( Mother charged with using a stun gun to discipline her 14-yr old son )

Multifunctional stun gun - X-1 - Raysun (Taiwan Manufacturer) - No ...A Texas mother has been charged with using a stun gun to discipline her 14-year-old son.

Kimira Hysaw, 32, "tased" her son at least four times, shocking him on the head, back, arms and legs while disciplining him for not obeying her instructions, according to witness reports and court documents obtained by Austin Fox News affiliate KTBC.

The incident was brought to the attention of local authorities by a teacher who contacted Child Protective Services after the victim's 4-year-old sister told the teacher about the  abuse.

When interviewed by Pflugerville Police, the little girl said her brother was punished for playing basketball without permission. According to the sister, the boy was held down by his father while the mother "tased" the child using a small pink stun gun she carried in her purse.

Police said they questioned a brother of the victim who them his brother would often receive similar punishments when he failed to return home on time.

When police located the boy they noted injuries on his upper right arm and upper right back consistent with those made by a stun gun, reported KTBC.

When questioned by police, Hysaw claimed she had only "threatened" her son with her stun gun.

The Texas Department of Family and Protective Services refused to comment on the case, but a spokesman told KTBC that a child in a similar case would be temporarily relocated to another family member or family friend.

The whereabouts of the 14-year-old boy was not reported could not be determined.

Stun guns are legal in Texas law.

"It's a terrible thing that someone would actually use that to discipline their child," said local gun store owner Michael Cargill who sells similar stun guns for self-defense
